About the Book

The book deals with the National Education Policy 2020 and its implementation in a government college of Sikkim. It examines implementation issues, challenges and solutions at the college level, focusing on NEP aligned courses like Skill Enhancement Course (SEC), Value Added Course (VAC) and Ability Enhancement Course (AEC). It begins with an overview of NEP 2020 higher education framework, then presents an institutional case study analyzing FYUGP reforms, new course aspects and faculty awareness and training needs. It analyses preparedness measures for NEP at the institute level and offers SADHANA SUTRA solutions for effective policy execution. A practical guide for higher education administrators, academicians, researchers and policymakers.

About Author

Dr. Bitu Subba is currently Assistant Professor in Department of Political Science at Sikkim Government College (SGC), Namchi. He is the first PhD from Sikkim University (MA, MPhil), having decade of teaching at universities and colleges. A UGC-NET JRF/SRF awardee in International and Area Studies, he served as NEP Convener at SGC, Gyalshing, served as member of NEP UG Political Science Curriculum Committee at state level and currently member of NEP Implementation Committee at SGC, Namchi. His notable publication is Women 'Quest' for Empowerment in Sikkim, Evaluation of MGNREGA in Sikkim, Food Security in Sikkim. His areas of interest are Development Studies, Higher Education and International Relations.
